Milk Coming In

posted 1st Oct
When your milk started coming in, did you constantly feel hot? I cannot stop sweating! It's gross. Also my chest feels like super heavy. Like somebody is sitting on it. Ouchies.

Are you nursing? A lot of people get hot when they nurse. And their heart can race.

Ever since I started nursing I've been super sweaty. I feel like I'm having hot flashes lol.

And yeah, during the night when I haven't nursed or pumped for a while my chest will feel really heavy like someone is sitting on it.

I'm 4 days pp and not nursing. I woke up today with fuller boobs and they're hard and I've just been extremely hot all day long. I hate it. And I am so beyond moody too lol. I feel bad. I snap at everyone. :/

I guess if u have no desire to nurse then try to dry it up to relieve the discomfort.

Yep it's totally normal to sweat when your milk comes in. You'll also sweat because your body is getting rid of the extra fluid it retained during pregnancy. If you want to dry up your milk, you can use cabbage leaves in your bra. I know it sounds weird, but there's an enzyme in there that helps reduce supply. Also tight bras help too. Whatever you do, don't pump or breastfeed if you want to dry up quickly. That will just drag the process out and it will take a lot longer.

Omg I felt like I was having a heat stroke in the air conditioning of my house! Everyone was freezing and I was sweating lol. But I have heard of the cabbage leaf thing I will have to give that a try! And I will avoid all stimulation also.

You're always so helpful! I really appreciate it.
