No you can't, an epidural needs to be in the back. They do have IV drugs though but they don't work nearly as well IMO.

No, they give it to you in the spine.

If yuo can handle contractions, they arent that bad. Then you could ask your doctor about a local. It numbs your vaginal canal. My friend had it done, but my doctor wouldnt do it for me. He said it didnt work. So idk....talk to your doctor if you want to choose that route.

The Epidural space is a certian space in your spine where they inject medication to "block" the pain. Hence epidural block.

They do have narcotic medication they can put through an IV though.

Never again. I only got one... made me super loopy and annoyed for 5 minutes... didn't do anything for the pain.
