There are tons of strays where she lives... and again, you didn't read the thread, she explained that the dog was trying to bite her baby.

I did read it actually. And it didn't really sound like that's what happened. NOT TO MENTION instead of bragging about how "smurfing awesome" it was pepper spraying a dog, why wouldn't you say oh my god this dog tried to bite my child?

Um prior to the other day when I responded, my last post was Oct 1. I am pretty sure I am not the reason the thread didn't die.

I went outside and a dog jumped at me and was trying to bite at my arms while I was holding LO, then a few days later, my neighbour's 3 year old was tackled and scratched by this same dog and a day after that, it tried to run into my house while SO was coming in with armfulls of groceries...that's when he peppersprayed the dog. We live in a fly-in community (meaning I can't just drive 80 miles and drop the dog off) that doesn't have any other animal control other than when the band brings people up to shoot stray dogs. The dog was fine the next day...SO even gave him a treat because he was acting like a normal dog....anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. The band had called in "animal control" last week, and we haven't seen him around since then

  Her DH does not deserve to be bitten for defending himself against a dog jumping at him. If a dog ever came at my baby and me, I'd Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kick that smurf as hard as I could. Me, my SO, and our toddler come before some stray.
