Quoting Cameron and cayleighs mom:" yep!!! I got to see Ava for maybe 5 minutes then dh and her were taken back to the room. I missed him cutting her cord, foot prints, weight etc. She was 40+ minutes old before I got to hold her "
Same here. The anetheseologist was a family friend so she told me she would keep me awake unless I seemed to not be handling it well after the baby came out and then she would knock me out, but she ended up not needing to. I saw her for a few seconds and I was shaking so bad and having some issues that they took her away with my husband..I didn't see the birth weight, the foot prints, or anything....and I didn't see her again until I was out of recovery and back in my birthing room. Everyone else had a lot of time with her before me. Not that I wouldn't want them to, but it was def different than my vaginal birth when I could hold her right away and see everything that was being done.
