i've seen 12 years of labor and delivers and no natural ACTIVE labor has ever done that. with an epidural yes, without no. Even the women with epilepsy that tend to not feel contractions and painless labors, feel the ring of fire and actual delivery and scream and freak out.
I have however had MANY women lie about going through natural labor to family and friends. I've had scheduled c-section patients that never had a single contraction tell everyone they had a natural, med free vaginal birth - whose gonna know otherwise. to hear women talk here and in real life you would think the epidural rate was like 20%, but it's actually 80% in most places. Why is that? cuz people lie plain and simple.

Yes. I think a lot of people are misinformed and don't realize they did not have a natural labor. Someone was just saying the other day that they had natural labor. The more I got details, the more I discovered that she just had no idea what an IV was. lol

Labor with my son felt like someone was peeling my skin off with a cheese grader. There is no way to describe that measure of pain. I thought I was absolutely dying.

You'll know what's right for you when you are in labor. Everyone's labor and every individual labor is different.

saying it was easty afterwards, and actually easy.. are not always the same.

I've never had a labor patient say it doesnt' hurt.

smurf.. a few weeks ago I had a pateint having her 4th kid, who took a deep breath and baby FELL out... and she was begging for an epidural. She'd never had pain meds, longest labor 1.5 hours.. and in the heat of the moment.. even SHE wanted meds.

no one things it doesn't hurt.. until they are embellishing their story later.

I guess, I hate needles and proberly can't have an epidural due to back problems. Though thinking of having gas if I need it.
