SO after the last court date I had, I agreed that BD would have my LO on tues and Wednesday; 12 - 6.
I was also offered a job, which happened to be on tues and wed from 11am - 7pm.. Luckily BD said he'd take her from 1 - 7 for me and I'd put her in preschool in the mornings.
I'm a little worried that I committed to this job, and well, BD is a total flake.
Before our last court hearing, he was awarded 18 hours a WEEK with LO to which he only completely 15 hours in almost four MONTHS...
I'd be completely screwed if he cancels and seeing how he canceled the first week after our court date, I'm getting a little worried. :/
HOPEFULLY, it'll all work out. I'm SUPER excited about this job and it'll easy my mind with money issues and xmas coming up!

I was thinking of asking that he pay for the child care if he cancels. Like for her staying all day, if he flakes.. what do you think?

Seems reasonable to ask him to pay for the extended time in child care, plus maybe that'll encourage him to be less of a flake and more involved in his daughter's life... just make sure you have a back up plan in case he flakes not only on picking up your daughter but paying as well.

yes.. My parents are willing to help pay if It ends up being too much.. since i can afford the few morning hours.
butt, he doesnt have a job and is known for not paying for anything. :/
i just dont know what else to do..
This sorta 'forces' him to be a parent.. because even his lawyer said he better not flake.

Ya no it sounds very reasonable to me... but then again I thought that my dad's child support for my sister and I was reasonable and he's still paying back child support for us... and I'm 22, she's 20...

Its perfectly reasonable, you have purposely arranged work hours so it is when she is with him, if he flakes it should be common sense to him that he has to pay for her to stay at daycare longer.
