Walmart Pharmacy

Does anyone know if they have a discount plan if your prescription isn't covered? My birth control pill(the only one that didn't smurf up my body) isn't covered by my insurance anymore. I was actually on it for medical reasons which is funny that they won't even let my doctor fight it saying I need it. I know at CVS they said it would cost me $16.50 to fill it. It doesn't seem like a lot but honestly I barely have that much. I'm hoping some where they have a cheap way of getting my prescription filled. I've tried pills that were almost identical and they just made all my problems worse.

Have you considered getting it shipped from Canada? It would be automatic.

They don't, but they may have another form of the same BC that is cheaper.

I have literally tried every generic form of this pill. I won't stop bleeding, my face is breaking out, my cysts are horrible, my cramps are so intense I almost puke, I'm moody, it's just bad. I guess I'll just have to pay the $16.50 for now.

By buying your BC every month you end up spending more. If you go get a few mths supply at a time you save money. Each time you fill a perscription you have to pay a dispensing fee.....so if you go every mth you pay it every mth, but if you go and get a 3 mth supply than you only pay it once every 3 mths. I used to get a 6 mth suppy and only pay 1 dispensing fee.....if I had gotten it every mth for 6 mths it would have cost me an extra $50. Just something to think about!

Have you tried having your doctor write a letter to your insurance and say it's medically needed? I need a shot every month that is 2000$. It is not normally covered by medicaid, or not easily covered. My doctor said he would write a letter to say whey it's needed if I was denied. It took medicaid 2 months to approve the meds but it finally was. Try talking to your insurance to see what you can do.

I have medical assistance. My doctor looked into fighting it and she said it could take up to a year. That's why she's been trying others. I just really sucks. I'm in so much pain right now and my hormones are a mess. I hate having to wait a month or 2 to see if the pill is good for me or not and it ends up doing more damage.
