HAHA Yup, been there. I have a couple designated for that purpose.
The BEST way to prevent stains is to rinse your pads after use in COLD water! I personally don't do this. I just fold them up, and toss them in my dirty clothes hamper and wash with my regular laundry; and I don't have stains on my cloth.
You can also find products like Biokleen's Bac Out spray. This is an all natural enzyme cleaner that REALLY works to get stains out! I used to use it on my DDs cloth diapers and never had any issues! <3

Fabric Softener is not recommended for the following reasons:
- Bleach is hard on the fabric and can deteriorate the area around the snap.
- Chlorine bleach is an extremely harmful chemical - both to our bodies and the environment. An oxygen-based bleach is a better alternative.
- Fabric softener is generally a collection of perfume and chemicals -- which you probably don't want polluting the environment, much less that part of your body!
- Using fabric softener actually makes your cloth less absorbent.
