Halloween is evil

posted 30th Sep
Why do some people refuse to celebrate Halloween? I've been told by a few that it's because Halloween is an evil holiday that celebrates the devil.
I don't see that at all. The majority of people who enjoy Halloween only see it as a day to dress up and get candy and have fun. Most people do not celebrate the devil on this holiday.

I just don't see the logic of saying a day is evil, when most people do not treat it as such.

What do you think? Is Halloween evil? Do you celebrate?

We LOVE Halloween. We do and will always celebrate it.

I can see why some people shun it, but hey, it's their loss, IMO.

If they did their homework, they'd know that Halloween is a religious holiday, not a satanic one. lol I love Halloween.

Halloween is the only holiday I actually really get into. I don't think it's evil at all. It's one night where people, and kids especially have a chance to be someone they're not and get candy. Halloween is a major event in my family! Lol.

I love Halloween, its one of my favorite times of year. I do know people who think its the "devil's holiday". I figured people who didn't celebrate Halloween were doing so for religious reasons. Its 2012, Halloween has a whole new meaning in America. Its about costumes and candy. Nothing more.

Halloween isn't evil. It is a pagan holiday but not evil. The origin is pretty cool actually. We do celebrate too. DD enjoys it a lot.

I always believed it to be a religious holiday. More to celebrate the lives of loved ones that have passed, although I have heard the reason why people don't celebrate it is because it's the "worshiping the devil"   People need to research it.. But we celebrate it to dress up and eat candy

We celebrate it, but I get what they mean. It's based around "horror." Go into any Halloween store and you'll see blood and gore and monsters. People dress up as demons and other "evil" things, and generally celebrate horror and the dark things.
