re: Halloween is evil

I'm Wiccan. I trick or treat with DD, I pass out candy, I celebrate Halloween for what it is now, the same thing that Santa did to the Christian Christmas... warped it's meaning.

I also take a little time on the 31st to celebrate Samhain, which is one of the two spirit nights in the whole year. This site I like to read on says it best:
It is a magical interval when the mundane laws of time and space are temporarily suspended, and the Thin Veil between the worlds is lifted. Communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones is easy at this time, for they journey through this world on their way to the Summerlands. It is a time to study the Dark Mysteries and honor the Dark Mother and the Dark Father, symbolized by the Crone and her aged Consort.

It's one of my favorite holidays for multiple reasons. I LOVE the 31st of October.  

Neo-paganism is super lame.

I'm just tired of the yapping all the time.. they try to make me feel bad if I don't go to church every weekend like my DF's mom for goodness sake lady lol ;) whatever. I asked my DF if I was a bad person for trying to be a Christian and liking a little bit of the green and he said "No, it's natural... it's like trying to intake oregano only it tastes better" he's a funny dude. I have love for everyone...

Depends how you take it!,
For us it's just a fun night to get the kiddoz dressed up, take them out and go trick or treating. That's it. Our kids love it!

But as a catholic, we celebrate Nov 1st witch is the day to remember all our loved ones who have passed away.

I really hope you're not saying ALL paganism is religions that were made up in the last 100 years or so. There were pagans practicing their faith before the Christian faith was a sparkle in one disciple's eye...

Religion is religion. Agree or disagree with it, but because you disagree with it does not make it lame.

Many of the Neo-Paganist beliefs all base their religion from the ancient pagan rituals and beliefs. I think it's disrespectful to call any religion lame. I don't see anyone calling the branches of Christianity 'lame', when many of those are not the same as the original writings intended them to be. Are all of those branches lame too?
