Sucessful imprompt 2 vbac
posted 30th Sep
So I have been in and out of the hospital for about a week now with contractions and 1cm dialated. I was going to be a repeat c section.
yesterday morning I went to the hospital and they gave me meds to stop the labor process, well it worked for about 90mins because the contractions started again. I went later that night for stronger contactions..they sent me home in active labor after moving my daughters head on the cervex. (the cervex has been behind my daughters head e.i. Why I couldnt dialate any more than 1cm). They told me to walk. So I did for about 45mins and layed down on my left side for 2 hrs and my water broke (super weird feel btw lol). I had 20mins to return to the hospital when this happens because of the repeat c section & im high risk.
They got me in and started all the prep for my c section. my contactions were 2mins apart and werw extremely painful. They couldnt give me anything because I would get an epi for c section. They called all the drs and we had to wait for them to get there.
that was the longest 52mins of my life waiting in the surgical room waiting on one person..the one to give me the epi so my c section could be done. By this time I was fully dialated and doing everything in my power NOT to push. That hurt really bad..the need to push and not. I couldnt wait any longer. I gave in to the need and pushed. The head crowned in that first push. Three more came after that. Within 5mins 4pushes my daughter was born. My c section turned into vbac waiting.

Just curious as to why they were goin to section you if your body could do it on its own (which clearly it could and quickly too!)?
And CONGRATS!
