Intense Workouts After Cesarean

How long before I can go back to my regular (much more intense) workouts ? I had a c-section on the 13th , so I still have 2-4 weeks left before I can start light workouts ... But how long before I can actually start breaking a hardcore sweat & feel like I wanna collapse after my workouts ?

You have 6 weeks until you can start ANY kind of work out that isn't walking.
I wouldn't do intense workouts for months. You're not completely healed from those for up to a year depending on the woman.
This is a question for your OB, not Baby Gaga.

Well I do crossfit, and we've had some moms come back after their 6 weeks and they can't even do the things they were doing before b/c their core was shot...so you'll have to work back up to it...listen to your body.
what kind of workouts do you do?
I'm just about 32 weeks and I'm still doing crossfit, it's just not near as intense...

A year ? Really ?
I have an app. with my OB in two weeks , so I'm definitely asking about what I can & can't do. I really want/need to start going back to the gym. I'm driving myself crazy looking in the mirror

No, you need to heal so you can take care of your child. You'll have plenty of time to get your body back. Do you NEED to look better badly enough to end up in the hospital with someone else taking care of your baby?

That's a good point. I am just hating my body right now .. I'm loving my new curves , just not the flabbiness of my mid-section & well everything overall. It just gets me upset every time I pass by a mirror or even think about it.

Before I got pregnant , I did a lot of resistance & weight training. I spent almost an hour & a half at the gym every single day. I'm a gym junky

yeah I am too...well crossfit gyms are different than regular gyms..but I'm sure you know...it's been really hard for me lately..and I can only imagine after he's born... *sigh* but you'll get there...

I wish I'd be able to get there sooner than later. I have a trip to Jamaica coming up in 6 months ... & I don't want to feel disgusting in a bathing suit or feel too shy to even put one on. & When I don't feel good about my body , I get camera shy & I want to take pictures with everyone. & This will be the first big trip with SO & DD , & I'll be meeting MIL for the first time while we're there , & I just want my body to look good , KWIM ?

lol yeah...well get one with spanx in it... it won't do you any good if your body can't handle it.

Just work up to it slowly, listen to your body and don't push beyond what you can do. Theres no timeline you'll get there when you get there
