IF you didn't have a baby shower for your second baby.

I heard of people buying diapers every time they went shopping. What are your ideas to spread the buying out.

I didn't have baby showers with any of my babies.. As far as spreading the buying out, buy in bulk when possible..

I did not have a second baby shower, but I did have alot of people buy diapers for us when he arrived. Maybe ask for gift cards? This way you can use it for diapers or whatever you need as you go.

I have bought a few cases of 1's and 2's, but I am more of a buy as you need them type. DD was in ones forever, barely wore two's and has been wearing three's for 5 months. I don't want a bunch of diapers sitting around for that long.

We bought a pack of diapers every pay day & made sure to buy 1 big ticket item + wipes a month. I have a shopping problem, so I bought clothes everytime I stepped into a Mall.

I think asking for gift cards/ money is rude why should someone expect something?:S

OP I didn't have baby showers, for diapers we use cloth. Saves us a lot of money.

We don't plan on having another baby shower but DH does want to do a diaper party. Basically you get a keg, invite a ton of your friends and price of admission is a package of diapers. I want to use cloth though.

I also use cloth. saves a ton of money, and no running out in the middle of the night because we are out of diapers.

I have never run out of diapers, does that seriously happen? People always post about not having to run out in the middle of the night lol

I'm lazy, so with me it is very possible haha. I'm also broke! So I could definitely see myself waiting until the last possible second to buy more, and run out, or go running through the house trying to find that last diaper I know I had somewhere haha.

every other "paycheck" ( I baby sit to help out) I get little things I will need or house things. like I had to get a few more cloth diapers for my stash and 3 packs of disposables ( I'm not about to wash a bunch of diapers the first two weeks. i will have two kids under 2 and in diapers) little tiny people meds,wipes ( we use cloth on my daughter). lucky for me most of my newborn stuff left from my daughter is gender neutral and since we seem to be the last having kids I have a ton of hand me downs!

I never ran out either  . I probably will not be having a second baby shower, I am in school with kids 10 years younger than me, and my best friends have all pcsed across the country.

After my first u/s I plan on getting a pack every time I grocery shop, plus wipes. If you find you did not need all the diapers you bought, of a certain size, as long as you didn't open the box you can always exchange them! All of big items are gender neutral, except the tub and sassy seat, but a boy can use some pink things  . As for the small items I plan on spreading them out, and I am sure family will want to get us gifts, so I will ask for the little stuff then.

I'm expecting DD #2,#1 is 16 months old. I knew I wanted more kids soon, so I still have all the clothes/big things I need. Everything but teeny tiny diapers, so I'm having a diaper shower, just like a baby shower with diapers only. Playing the games, the food etc... I specifically told everyone, no presents of any kind, only diapers. And whoever brings the most wins a prize
