Honest opinion please

We are loving the name Darla if our baby is a girl but I'm worried about the name transitioning into adult hood and I would like your honest opinions on the name. You won't hurt my feelings, I know a lot of people think of little rascals etc. So lay it on me- like it, love it, hate it? I want to hear it! Thank you!

I used to call my best friend Darla when we were little to make him mad. The name is kind of an inside joke for us so that's all I think of. I don't think it's a bad name just NMS

And my son is a ginger too, not full blown but definitely has some red!

I don't like it. Mainly because all of the Darla's around here are total dirtbags, or incredibly obese old women...

I went to school with a Darla that was massive and wore floral-print moo-moos every day.

Probably if I didn't know anyone with that name I might like it...

Reminds me of "darling" which is adorable for a little girl IMO.

I appreciate the opinions   our reasoning for liking it so much is because I my husbands Aunt Darlene, she is an amazing wonderful woman and it came up in a conversation we had and I absolutely fell in love with it! She has no idea we are thinking about it but if its a girl (and we decide in the name completely) we are going to tell he when we see her at Christmas

Darla is cute, NMS but cute.

It reminds me of the cute little girl in the movie Little Rascals lol. I think it's cute and very sweet.
