The Mini Pill?

I'm taking it now. My doctor said it was the best choice since I'm breastfeeding. I was reading about it & it kind of worried me how it only prevents pregnancy by thickening the cervical mucous.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY DO NOT WANT ANOTHER BABY ANY TIME SOON!

Have you ever gotten pregnant on the mini pill? I realize that breastfeeding also prevents pregnancy but we're putting that factor aside in this question because it doesn't always prevent pregnancy.

I used it for a year with no problems (pregnancy included lol). It's the best bc I have ever taken.

I went on the mini pill at my 6 week PP appointment after having my DD a year ago. I'm still breastfeeding (3-4 times a day) and I haven't gotten back my period yet, so I take a HPT every few months just to be safe, but so far I've had no problems with the mini pill.

I used it for a year two different times...when i was on regular bc i got pregnant and had issues before that with it...

I've been on the mini pill since my 6 week check up almost 2 years ago. No problems here *knocks on wood*

Well that explains a lot! I guess I should read up more on meds I take ; ) I've been on it for just over a year now with no problems : ) DS is 17 months and still nursing and I started taking it when he was 3 months. I still haven't got a period while on it either

A friend of mine was put on this "mini pill" while she was breast feeding her first child. 11 months later, they had their 2nd child. I would personally NOT trust it.

Did se take it at the same time each day? Ever miss a pill?
I got pregnant on orto tri, but never had a issue with the mini pill.

I was on the "mini pill" for 2 years, I used to smurf up my days all the time, take 2 in the same day, and I've had some incidents were SO has gone in me. Never got pregnant

Yes!
With the mini pill you have to make sure you take it close to same time every day for it to be more effective. You have a 3 hour window, but if you take it the same time every day it's more effective. Also, it matters if your LO is EBF

I had a alarm on my cell so I wouldn't forget. I'm super parinoid when it come to getting pregnant again. Well unless I'm drunk (hangs head and slowly creeps out of the room).

Nope, she NEVER missed one. Always took it at the EXACT same time every day. She set an alarm.

Was she EBF? No supplements.
Also, was she taking any medications?
