Quoting BMG:" At 18 I no longer considered myself a teen. I was an adult. I had a full time job, my own apartment, and had to pay my own bills. In the eyes of the law I was legally an adult."
Quoting Rumpelstiltskin:" "
Quoting Sarah Lee Murray:" Nope, The plan is : (if all goes well) I will still be a full time student... Like this semester I'm ... [snip!] ... leave... (which is about 4 months added up) I will return to work part time, With manageable hours. Hopefully all goes well."
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" I think some of these teen moms who are eighteen and nineteen don't want to be called teen moms d/t to the stigma attached to the label. "
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" EighTEEN. You can be an adult AND still be a teenager. I don't understand why people don't understand this..."I actually agree with you. I never stated I 'was not' a teenager, just that I considered myself an adult, but yes I was both.
Quoting BMG:" I actually agree with you. I never stated I 'was not' a teenager, just that I considered myself an adult, but yes I was both."
Quoting Rumpelstiltskin:" I think the argument is futile... I don't know how opinions can come into play but, whatever... I'm an old-fart-mom! "
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" I agree. And I'm getting up there with you! No longer a sparkly eighteen year old. "
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" Uh...yeah, you did. "At 18 I no longer considered myself a teen""I said considered, but did not actually state I was not a teenager. Maybe I should have stated it differently. Such as, I felt like an adult due to my own responsibilities and based upon the law viewing me as an adult.

Quoting Gir!:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Back to Noob Status:</b>" From your OP: "What age do you think ... [snip!] ... that follows the phrase "teen mom". Context is what this is about more than facts (The "sixTEEN, sevenTEEN" argument/agreement)"
Quoting Gir!:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Christina Getty:</b>" i think she did understand. it doesn't ... [snip!] ... I think younger teenagers mostly" kwim? I've been on and off during this debate all day and have been slow to comment lol"I know what you mean and but you did ask for peoples opinions. And me personally...I do see being a teen mom as eightTEEN or nineTEEN..anything with a teen behind and and I consider 20-like24ish a young mom. Just how I see things...now just because they are a teen doesn't mean I think they are a horrible mother or that they are immature in any way. My own mother was a teen mother and she worked harder than anyone I know. I am very proud of her decisions and how hard she worked.
