If you make tutus..

How much would you say you spend on fabric to make one tutu?

Idk the exact price as i dont make tutus but usually the fabric runs about $2-$3 a square yard elastic and thread are only a few dollars a piece so for one tutu id say it couldnt take more than $5-$10 in material but thats also depending on how fluffy you want to make it.

All depends where you get it and how big the person is. I spent 15 for three colors and made 5 tutu's one time and just recently I spent &18 and got three out of it and they were some small girls the second time the first time I made one for two plus size girls and three regular size

I make tie on tutus and buy pre-rolled tulle in the wedding section of Michael's. Last time I bought some it was like $5 for a roll. Then maybe $2 for ribbon. I've never sewn.

I'm not planning on sewing it. No machine and it would take forever to hand-sew lol. I was planning on using a crotchet headband and putting the tutu material on it, ever try it?

I should add when i said thread i meant to sew the elastic band that the fabric is wrapped around. if youre using a ribbon u wont need the elastic or thread of course.

Crochet headband would probably work.
