re: epidurals and pushing

I've never had an epidural, but I've been induced once. I only pushed through 3 contractions, it was pretty quick. But, she was also my 3rd!

With my first I had an epi, I couldn't feel to push at all. 30 minutes of trying, baby went into distress, doctor did a episiotomy in preparation for a forceps delivery and baby slid out with the next contraction.
Second baby, no epi, two pushes.
Third baby, induced w/ no epi, no pushes. She was ejected as soon as my water broke.

I was induced and had an epidural, I only pushed 4 times. Three pushes then dr did an episiotomy cause I kept sucking him back in lol, and he was out on the last one. Dr said he would have probably been out with the first two if I didn't need the episiotomy. :p My labor was a cake walk!

got the epi and dilated pretty quickly after that (was already at a 6 before) pushed for an hour and a half (my son was face up instead of face down) then needed the suction right at the end

at around 3 to 4cm they gave me pitocin that kicked my ass so i got the epi at 5cm . i went in at 6am and had her at 5:54pm it took me 45 mins to push but she was pretty big. the doctor said she probably wouldnt fit through my pelvis and i almost had to get a c section but they let me push a few times and she said i could do it that i pushed good. i was completely numb i couldnt even feel the stitches i tore a tiny bit but i could feel the pushing.

I'm not sure... epi's with both, induction pushed 2 hours, non-induction pushed 10 minutes.
