SO and I were wondering.. how long were you together

before you were engaged? We have been together for 1.5 years and lived together for one year. We are considering getting married next year sometime.

Just wondering, how long was it after you got engaged?

(I have posted something similar but would like more replies. TY!!!)

I haven't been engaged yet. I hope soon. its been 14 months so far

We dated 6 months before we moved in together.. Then 6 years later we got engaged. We've only been engaged a month & a half.

We got engaged one year after reconciling after 10 years we were married nine months later in the fall we did everything are selves one of the happiest days of my life

We were engaged after 14 months, then got married 4 months later.

6months until I was engaged and another 6+ months until we were married and that was in 2006 and hopefully only another 6 months until the divorce lol

So and I have been together almost 3 years and have lived together for well over two years and were not engaged (he wants to, I want to wait).

Engaged after 6 months...and got married a year later  

I was with my partner for 5years before we got engaged on my 21st birthday! I suppose it's about timimg really cuz we weren't living together before and the fact we got together when I was 16 meant that it was too early. We're still not married yet but that is due to not having the money and then finding out I was pregnant. It doesn't really make a difference when you get engaged as long as you are happy and believe that he/she is the one for you!! I've known people to get engaged after a month and still be together to this day!

We got engaged after 3 months of dating, got married 2 years after getting engaged & now we've been together for 8yrs & married almost 6yrs. =)

It's been almost 5 years, and not engaged yet.

Together for 1 year before I moved in. Then shacked it up for another year and got married. So together 2 yrs before marriage, now been married 7.5 years.

We were never engaged. Just agreed to marry, then got married.  

We were together for a few months before we decided we wanted to get married eventually. Then we lived together for 3.5 years and got pregnant. Had a baby and then we both started planning a wedding together without actually proposing. A few months before our wedding date after we were already in marriage counseling DH took me to our favorite close family walk thing we did and popped the question with a ring. He wanted me to have an engagement ring And his speech was adorable.
Not very conventional.  

Edit. We've been together 8.5 years and just celebrated our 4 year marriage anniversary and we are 26 ATM.
