fall accident= bloody nose busted lip
posted 28th Sep
My son fell on carpet but he was carrying a hard object and that's what he fell on. He has calmed down. Should I give him medicine before bed? His lip is swollen and his nose looks a little red.

I would only give him medicine if he is complaining of pain.

If he's old enough for tylenol or ibprofun (sp?) I would give him some to help with any discomfort or swelling he may have.

I would give him some. as time goes on tonight it will swell and throb. it isn't going to hurt him to have a dose of ibuprofen for the swelling (as long as he is old enough, of course). btw, same thing happened to my daughter last week and her tooth went into her lip. I gave her the meds.

I wouldn't.. but I'm against medicine unless absolutely necessary. It's more of a matter of opinion, so it's up to you.
