poor kiddo

posted 28th Sep
Last friday, my mother was supposed to be watching the little kids outside at my grandma's. So she comes in to tell us she's leaving. I asked where my 2 yr old was, since he obviously can't be outside alone. She said he was in the kitchen with my grandma and great aunts. I didn't check...stupid on my part, i believed her. So about ten minutes after she leaves, my uncle brings him in and the poir kid is bawling. Because he was outside unattended, he fell off the trampoline he isn't allowed on. He had a HUGE knot right between his eyes. We iced it, but he still, a week later, looks like he has a marble under his skin   is that normal?

As long as it's bulged out, and not in, it's probably okay. Those things take a while to go down... poor fella

Oh my goodness. I would be LIVID. I'm not sure if it normal or not though. Poor guy.

I hit my fore head with a color guard pole (high school marching band) almost 6 years ago, and I still have a tiny bump that looks like a marble, and it hurts when I press on it. Not saying your sons will stay that long, but I would just keep an eye on it. I still don't know why my bump never went away.

He's so accident prone! I feel horrible i didn't just check for myself. My cousin passed away the night before after being in a coma for 3 days and i was exhausted, but i've never let that stop me from being more responsible   i just hope it gets better soon. Thanks

It is normal, sounds like a hematoma (sp?). I fell on my knee a month ago and still have a knot, ended up in Urgent Care to make sure my baby was OK and the doctor labeled it as a hematoma and told me the lump will be there for 4-6 weeks. With put me right at delivery, joy!

I think my mom is a moron...and i normally don't let her watch the kids. I felt so stupid, in addition to wanting to choke her! Ugh
