Bleeding after C Section.
posted 28th Sep
I am 6 weeks PP, and I had a c-sec. I'm still bleeding pretty heavily and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I also have a constant pain in my stomach muscle. It's not too bad but motrin doesn't help it.
Is this normal? I didn't bleed this long with my daughter and she was vaginal.

I was 7 weeks pp when I stopped bleeding, and I had pain until 5 months pp due to an infection. But I think Its pretty normal for you to still have some pain.

You have to remember when you have a vaginal birth, most of the blood all comes out as the baby and placenta comes out.
Do you have a 6 week PP check up soon?

I bled for like 9 weeks after my c section

My OB washed out my uterus basically after my csection. I had pp bleeding until 7 weeks. And I had hydrocodone for my pain. I don't remember when my pain went away. 8 or 9 weeks I think. But obviously still had some if I moved wrong. I didn't get an infection.

I only bled for 5 weeks with mine. But, you have to remember, they're cutting through muscle to get to baby, so you will have pain and numbness. My skin still hurts, if I scratch it, and sometimes I get itchiness I cannot get to. If I move a certain way too fast, it still hurts. I would bring it up to your doctor, also.

There is no muscle at that part of your tummy. But I still can't feel anything above my insicion. Because they cut all the nerves
