Few bumps on mouth?

posted 28th Sep
My son has around 4-5 small bumps on his mouth, they are barely raised. Can this be caused by teething? Last night he vomited about 4-5 times as well and has a fever that goes on and off since last night. He has a couple of bumbs on his balls as well but I don't believe they are related. Does anyone have an idea of what can cause this? I know his teeth are hurting as he won't eat and says he has a booboo in his mouth, which is what he says when his teeth are hurting him. Can these all be caused from teething or may it be something else?

They just look like small pimples, above and below his lips.

They aren't opened on the weekend, do you think it can wait until monday? He's definitely teething but it could be a mix of teething and something else.

Do they look like canker sores or blisters? Is he able to eat properly (not talking about throwing up0

Yeah, that doesn't sound like teething at all.

If it looks anything like this, it could be hand foot and mouth disease. I would call his pedi first thing in the morning.

Oh and too add, his fever is gone right now and for some reason only seems to come back when he is sleeping? And he hasn't thrown up since last night at all. But he won't eat, just will BF.

This is what I was thinking by the way she is describing. DD had this recently and she would scream in pain when she would try to eat. She just had it in her mouth and her lips were swollen. She also had it bad in her diaper area

Can you post a picture of his mouth?

I was going to try but I can't get a picture to show it because he won't stay still. I don't think its hand foot and mouth but if he doesn't get better tomorrow I guess we'll take him to the ER. He goes through periods of not wanting to eat food and just nurse a lot so that part doesn't concern me too much unless he does it for longer than a day. Even if he doesn't throw up again should he go to the ER? That place worries me because he could get something worse from having to sit and wait around the sick people. SO needs to get stitches out of his finger so while he's doing that I guess I'll go with him and get LO checked out.
