Laws on BFing in public

Tomorrow, I'm going to a public dinosaur exhibit thing. I don't really know what it is, but my parents want me to go, so I'm going. We'll be there at least 3 hours, so it's too long to pump and bring a bottle. I plan to BF my daughter there, in my Moby. If someone says something rude to me, is there anything I can do about it? I know in my state they can't kick me out, but what do I do if they try to make me move or ask me to leave? Is there maybe somewhere I can print off the laws and show it to anyone who asks me to stop?

The law protects your right to breastfeed in any place that you are allowed to be. They legally can not ask you to move or leave, if they do you should refuse. I'm sure you'll be fine though.

That's what I thought. But, my grandma thinks that because there will be lots of little kids there, that I might have someone say something to me.

I doubt someone will actually say something, you might get dirty looks but those can be ignored. Just look up BF'ing laws in your state, in a lot(if not all) places I know by law they can't say/do smurf.

You have the right to BF anywhere!

I doubt anyone will say anything...its just one of those things lol..but you can go to your states website to print off guidelines. I bf my daughter at a hs grauation...it was weird cause I was 20 and everyone was about my age clearly..i got tons of crazy looks but no one said a word..lol

you shouldn't have any problems I took my baby to the A-day game in Auburn and nursed in public so don't worry

  I took my boob out with out a cover all the time when I breastfed DS. IDK how many times i was in McDonald and whipped it out because he was hungry. No one ever said anything to me.

    nobody will do anything I'm almost positive. If They do just say the law allows me to feed my child anywhere. I'm being modest and respectful so I'm sorry if you ah e a problem.

But I bf in public for over a year and nobody has ever once given me a nasty glance or said a word.

  That's what I said. But my parents say that if I'm rude to anyone or start cussing, then they'll kick me out for that instead. They're just worried because I live in a very religious area. I don't know anyone else here who has breastfed their kids, they all think it's gross

Don't be rude or anything just politely refuse to move. * channel your inner civil rights lunch counter protestor* Let them know that what they are asking you to do violates your rights and if they have an issue with it than perhaps they should call the police. Which of course you wouldn't want the, to do but at that point you'd be able to get the officer to explain the law to them.
