Scheduled c-section question

posted 28th Sep
So I have had a scheduled c-section before but my son had other ideas and came early via emergency c-section and I know my date is 12/7 and they said be at the hospital for 10 AM and I will have my c-section at 2pm, however they didn't say anything about eating since I will be getting it later in the afternoon is it still a big no-no to eat? Also what do they do for those four hours before the section? Thanks in advance!

Im sure they will cover the eating thing with you when it closer to time. As for the 4 hours before probably getting you signed in. Hooked up to an IV and monitors. Some laying around waiting.

No eating or drinking (that includes water!!) 12 hours before surgery...so I'd say 2am would be the time to stop eating. As for coming in 4 hours before, I wouldn't know as both of my scheduled c-sections (first was an emergency one) I was told to come in two hours before to get paperwork completed and hooked up on the monitor. Good luck! Just had my third c-section 3 weeks ago and I was in no pain at all

They say the getting your tubes tied part is a little harder than the c-section recovery. Haven't gone through it myself but I was told by someone else who had.

Yeah the dr is doing both at the same time so i'm expecting a bit rougher recovery this time hopefully not terrible, but i'm prepared for the worst just in case lol
