Why...

...do you have to wait six weeks to have sex after a c-section?

Just wonderin'.

Because your placenta still detaches from your uterus, leaving a huge gaping wound that needs to heal

Your vagina might fall off.

So your body can heal, apparently. Idk. I delivered vaginally and had sex after 4 weeks..

i think you have to wait 6 weeks after a normal delivery too...it just gives your body a chance to heal

Cause you are very fertile & it can be dangerous for you to get pregnant again so soon.

Risk of infection and pregnancy. Everything needs to heal up and go back to normal shape and size and close up.

To prevent you from reinjuring the internal healing scar..not the outside one. It takes longer for your inside one to heal, I asked my dr why and that was the reason he gave...plus to prevent another preg. Soon after birth. He said since I had a c section my hormones are more likely to be less stable and more likely to get preg again than a normal birth. He said its a major surgery so treat it like one. I wait 5 weeks and started to have a small internal under my scar causing it to look crazy and had to get reopened and fixed again..which sucked.

I mean, I know
