okay ladies I need opinions

So I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and I haven't gone to see a doctor because I want to stick to one. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield federal employee program, and I did research and basically it covers all the hospitals around my area. But here is the problem. I don't want to give birth at a hospital mainly because they don't let me have a water birth, I want to give birth either at a birthing center or at home in a birthing pool. The only birthing center that's around here is considered out of network so they won't pay for it. I tried calling this morning and asked for a in network exception and they said that because i have facilities around my area that are able to deliver my child that they will not accept it. tomorrow i'm going to fax a letter that has all the codes needed for the billing and my personal reasons of why i want to birth at a natural birthing center and i'm hoping they can change their mind It's so much cheaper for the insurance to pay for a birthing center than a hospital!! its a dumb decision not to cover it!.
BTW almost 3 years ago I gave birth to my daughter in a birthing home in the water completely natural, so I know it's possible.
Do you ladies have any experience with insurance and what other things i can try doing to save my ass from paying a $4000 dollar bill?

Blue cross blue shield is one of the only ins companies that absolutely refuses to pay for a midwife. That's why I'm paying oop, but its worth it.
