what to do if your parents hate your baby names?

I know it really isn't important... mostly because my son is already 10 mos old so I'm not going to change it. But they dont call him by his name "Tre" they only call my son "Speedy" and my daughter isn't even born yet and they are calling her by her middle name. Its kind of frustrating. But what to do?

Tell them that you named him Tre, not speedy, so you would really appreciate it if they called him by his name.

OP you can ask them to call him by his name but kids have nicknames all the time. Does it only bother you because you know the reason why they refuse to call him by what you choose?

No, he is named after his dad who is a jr. So he is III so we call him Tre for the third. I have already mentioned that those are not the kids names and they say they aren't stopping me from calling them wat i want.

my brother wont call my girls by their names. He calls them thing one and thing two.. And a lot of people in my family can't pronounce aura (or-uh) but i really don't give a smurf what they think
