Do you think it'd be okay for us to start ttc?

My name is Rachel and I've been with my fiance for 3 years and we're like every normal couple. We have the occasional fights, but they never last more than a couple of hours. We have ups and downs, who doesn't? I truly believe God put me on Earth to be a mommy. I want to have a baby so bad, it hurts. I can't wait to change diapers and write dates on frozen breast milk. The goods and bads are all just fine with me. I'll be 19 years old on Oct. 10, 2012. Yes, I know I'm young, but I think we both make enough money to support a baby. Everyone says "You're too young to have a baby; you don't have enough money or experience; etc" but is anyone really ever 100% ready for a baby? I doubt it. I've finished high school, graduated with honors. Please don't judge me.

You're an adult. Do what you want. As long as you and your boyfriend have the financial means to take care of a child, go for it. I am having a planned baby and I will be 19 on October 24th.

I would wait. You're only young once. You guys should have time to just be a couple, travel, sleep, have fun being young. I always knew I wanted to have kids, but I'm so glad I waited until I was older.

I'ma waitress. I make around $250-350 every 2 weeks. He makes about $100 more.
I know it would be tight, but most people are... I plan to breast feed and have already started saving up and buying furniture.

You're a waitress. . That's not going to support a child. I think you should go to college and get a solid career where you will make good money and have good benefits from your job. There's a lot to think about when thinking of having a child.

What about insurance? Do you have health insurance guaranteed for a baby? Do you live on your own?

Tank you, Katie! VERY happy to meet someone like me!!! We've been together for 3 years; we've settled down and we're happy that way. We act way older than we really are. My mom calls us "old souls".

I don't know what the cost of living is like there, but that is nothing. My daughters childcare alone is over $300 a week. So my nanny makes more money than you do.

I take my statement back.. What you make isn't nearly enough. Go to college, start a career. My SO makes more than you and your boyfriend combined. It takes alot to be financially stable enough to start TTC so young.

Whether you act your age or not I think you should be financially set before TTC. It would suck having to live paycheck to paycheck and what if something urgent turns up and you don't have the money?
