Not taking enough usually. If you are a frequent user of them you may have a higher tolerance (don't mean that in like a drug user type way btw lol)
You could also try taking some thing like tylenol with it

Not really. Sometimes there are certain types of foods you shouldn't take with medicines because they can reduce the effective... but not for any painkillers I've ever heard of. The pain might be too severe for what you were prescribed, or you may just be more resistant to that type of painkiller.
First, call the pharmacist and ask if the drug shouldn't be taken with certain food types.
Then, call your doctor and let him/ her know they weren't effective.
It happens often. I can't take Vicodin because it does absolutely nothing to me, I might as well be swallowing Skittles.

Yea could be. Tylenol didn't do smurf for my pain I tried taking extra strength and everything for it and I would hope and pray it killed the pain but nothing. I am not allowed to take Motrin or any other NSAID's because of my bleeding problems. So I am sure that is why the doctor prescribed me pain meds.

Ahh ok I will try that. Well Vicodin is like all I can take because anything stronger makes me sick as hell.
