My max ever was 185, but that was in 2006.

When I started my diet/workout plan in April I was 175ish at 5'3. That puts me in the obese category (not overweight, OBESE). Now I'm 147 (so, almost 30lbs down). I'm at the top end of the "normal" category for my height and I'm OKAY with the way I look. I just wanted to get super healthy to be the best I could be to carry and deliver a baby. Hoping that and all the medications this time (never had those in any previous pregnancy because I had SmurffY docs) will help catapult me over the finish line!

I really don't find anything else about pregnancy awful or miserable (except the GD test, which they will make me do at least twice since DS1 was well over 9lbs at birth). Even at the end with my first son, I wasn't uncomfortable or miserable. Sure, going from laying to sitting or sitting to standing was a process, but in my head there was always this peace of "This is the work you do to get a baby" adn so nothing seemed to bother me at all. Same with Deagan. Nothing bothered me at all. Not even barfing. I just had this zen feeling of "I can bear all this and it will be worth it." I just love pregnancy and all the aches and pains and discomforts are beautiful to me because they just mean a big healthy active baby, for the most part.

The worst part about a basically healthy normal pregnancy is the DOCTORS. Hell, if it weren't for the smurffy ones, high-risk pregnancy wouldn't be so damn scary!

Although, I did have the PUPPPs rash with DS1---that pretty much sucked big hairy donkey balls. I was 37 weeks when it showed up and I made it to 39 before I started staring at my belly going "You really can come out any time now" and on my due date I said "You are officially EVICTED. Get out now so this damn rash will GO AWAY!"---he waited 4 more days to show me who's boss!

I didn't mind much of the physical pain, it was the emotional. Of course, I haven't been through even a fraction of what you have, but it was hell.
I would randomly gush blood and huge clots at the beginning, so I was always in the ER praying that my baby was alive.
She was stubborn and would only move when SHE felt like it, so a lot of my kick counts landed me in the hospital.
Then I got labeled as high risk because she has Amniotic Band Syndrome and I developed a mild case of Cholestasis.
So I know what you mean by the doctors, bleh. I never went more than two weeks without a hospital or emergency doctor visit.

But, I'd totally do it all over again now.

I had partial placenta previa---which caused bleeding in early pregnancy before they put me on rest, high blood sugar (higher end of normal, not GD) on 2 tests (later tests came back normal...they made me do the 3hr test FOUR TIMES), PUPPPs rash, preterm labor several times...I was in there a lot, although I didn't have any serious complications and they always managed to stop my labor without TOO much hassle.

With Deagan, I spotted from 4-11 weeks for totally unknown reasons, then started having ALL of the signs of preterm labor at 21-22 weeks and they ignored it   and told me that I had pregnancy paranoia and that all my problems were "normal"

However, I cannot IMAGINE gushing blood and clots over and over during pregnancy and staying sane to make it to full term. I mean, I've bled suddenly in LOTS of pregnancies by now, but never chronically and heavy like that---I've spotted a lot which wears you down and breaks your soul---Ive had sudden gushes of red blood and clots and that is shocking and horrifying and absolutely indescribable---but never the combo and never over weeks of uncertainty whether I would be able to keep the pregnancy. Wow.

If I ever have that and/or a stillbirth of a full term baby, I'm just going to shoot the next person who offers trite plattitudes and cliche sayings straight in the face with a 9mm. Hell, I'm ready to do that now, but I figure if I have those, my smurffy pregnancy experiences list will be just about complete, so it'd be fair to lose my marbles and let the bitterness take over.

Yep, it was nerve wrecking. I spotted in between bleeding, and every time the spotting stopped, the next day I gushed blood.
It was a Subchorionic Hematoma, I guess. It was horrible.

And I wouldn't blame you. On the way to the hospital the second time it happened, I was literally in hysterics, I felt so empty, so unbearably alone, and my mom goes "If you lost it, it just means it wasn't the right time, and it was God's plan for the best."
I just stopped crying, stared for a bit, and told her "Losing my child could NEVER be for the best. Please stay silent until I'm ready to speak to you."
Then started crying again.

I smurfing HATE phrases like that. My mom meant the best, but I was so angry with her, I really didn't speak with her until we were in the room and I broke down again because they couldn't find her heartbeat

Ugh. Pregnancy is seriously terrifying.

After my 3rd miscarriage (2nd she knew about) my mom said "maybe its just God's way of telling you you don't need any more children"

After D, she waited a whole two months before saying "So, when are you going to give me a granddaughter?"

I just said "as soon as they all stop dying I'll take a minute to check what they're packing in the crotch"

I'd punch my mom in the face, seriously.
How horribly insensitive.

She's special.

At my wedding (I was 21 and had been with him for 3.5 years and was about to start my senior year of college where I was an honor student), the woman asked loudly in front of everyone "So, when are you due? There's no other reason for you to marry him!"

A real winner, my mom is, haha. For the most part I can just pity her. She (almost) can't hurt me anymore.

I'm sorry

My mom and I used to be like that, we hated each other.
DD saved our relationship.

I just don't get how someone can treat their children like that.
I couldn't imagine myself ever saying those things to DD. Some people just disgust me.
