I think you and a few other ladies that replied eased my mind a little on the "feeling uncomfortable" aspect of breast feeding quite a bit. I am feeling a little bit more confident about giving it a try. I really appreciate it

No problem hun! It's really amazing how not weird it felt to me, and at first I was really sure I'd hate it. There are a lot of really great and friendly women here who can help you! Also, when you deliver, they usually have an LC who can help you there at the hospital. The nurses actually helped me the first time.

I was 20 with my first and I only bf...i did it litterally everywhere. At first it was wierd...but more I did it I was comfortable with the idea. I knew from the start I wanted to try it..since it is best..lol..so I tried it and do I thank the lord I did..my daugher took to solid feeding better..no bottle breaking..she just drank from straws and cups. When I have my second child within the next week or two I will be bf too. So much easier and in my opinion faster. Good luck with your choice

I thought FF would be easier too but its not. You have to listen to screaming baby while you fix the bottle, you have to make sure the nipple doesnt cave in and drench your LO, and you have bottles to wash, although since your pumping youll have those anyway. Now to mention, Breast milk is free, warm, and an unending supply. You cant run out, like you do with formula, and have to run to the store.

I also thought I would feel weird or uncomfortable with breastfeeding, since I don't like my nipples touched because of my past. But it wasn't weird. It was the most normal thing in the world. And it's so much easier than pumping or FF! We're still nursing 18 mos later. You should know that it is challenging to begin with, but long-term it gets so easy and is so worth it. I recommend kellymom.com and breastfeedinginc.ca as great resources on everything breastfeeding. Because you will have questions.
