Some great ways to find unique names is to look up lists of people like "best selling authors" or "nobel laureates" or "great composers" or "top CEO's" and look for names that you like from these. I find these sorts of google searches MUCH more productive than baby name sites (most of which anyone can contribute to and add random words or assortments of letters that are not actual names).
Here are some unusual names from American cultural icons:
Quincy - like Quincy Jones the American composer/musician/music producer
Noam - like Noam Chomsky the historian/linguist/political scientist
Theodore or Benjamin - like the former presidents
