Similar experiences?

So April 21st I got an abortion via the pill and everything was screwed up from the beginning. I wasn't supposed to start bleeding until after I inserted the pills 24-48 hours from the time I swallowed the pill in the office. I started POURING blood out less than 24 hours after leaving the office. They said this was normal blah blah. I ended up being hospitalized in late May because I was still losing mass amounts of blood. Come to find out, I still had tissue and my body was still showing up pregnant but with no baby. I continued bleeding until July. I stopped for a couple weeks and then it came back. Mind you, in the hospital they gave me 2 shots of the Depo to stop the bleeding, which is never did. It did slow down, but never stopped.

So anyway, I started bleeding again and this time it lasted about 1.5 months give or take a week or two. I stopped once again for about 4 days now, and have a thick white discharge. Yes, I've been having unprotected sex (please I don't need to hear your comments), but figured I would be safe because of the Depo shot. I am having some pregnancy-like symptoms but negative on all HPTs.

Has anyone had an experience like this? I need to see the doc ASAP but my insurance is out right now so I'm a bit lost.

If you're on Depo, thats not unprotected  

I also think I recall hearing side effects of depo can be much like pregnancy.

I would not worry

never had that experience, but your insurance should pick it up later on. (not entirely sure what you mean by it's out...)

and the thick white discharge, I would say is probably a yeast infection. that's what mine usually is, and half the time doesn't itch or anything.

I believe that discharge is like a barrier for sperm. When I was on the nuva ring I got the same thing and when I asked my dr. she said it was a thick barrier that was caused by the birth control to keep me from getting pregnant, along with the hormones from the birth control.

Well true, LOL.

But I got 2 shots of Depo on Mothers Day so I was sure if I was fully protected for 3 months, or 6 months because I got 2 shots at the same time.

I bled FOREVER after the pill abortion too...like 8 weeks after - which is NOT normal. I'd call ur dr asap

I can get an over the counter test to check for infections right?

I have no itching, burning, or smelling so I thought it was weird. I've had yeast infections before, but nothing like this.

I've seen 3 different doctors after everything happened. I had weekly visits to make sure my hormone levels were going down. I was still getting BFPs 3 months after the abortion...

and I've had one this whole pregnancy. its annoying, but mine doesn't smell, itch, burn when I pee... nothing. just a white discharge.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The only reason I'm worried is because it happened RIGHT after my "period" stopped and I'm having some prego symptoms. Not sure if I'm just tricking myself though.

I don't think it works that way...?
they might have just given you a double dose to help with the excessive bleeding..

I didn't think so either. And yes, that's why I got in the first place. They didn't want to do the D&C because of all the trauma and bleeding I was already going through.

So you think I was only protected the first 3 months?

I think so too, but you are getting negative HPT's, right?
