Not too much, the baby was 8 weeks 1 day and the Dr kept moving the wand around to get his measurements and such. But hearing the hb was nice!!

Mine doesn't care, at first I wanted a female one. So with my first pregnancy I was going to go to one (that a girl I worked with was going to). Then when I started spotting/bleeding they wouldn't see me b/c I was new and told me to go to the ER if I thought it was bad. So I ended up doing that and then they had me go to my Dr. a few days later for repeat blood work. So all I saw at her office was the front desk and the lab tech. I never met her. I didn't care for how they treated me, so when I got pregnant with Steven I switched Drs. The ER dr. that saw me was a male and I didn't mind when he checked me, so I didn't care anymore. I am now with a male Dr. (that a different girl at work suggested) and I love him!!

Back to the question, lol. Hubby looks at it as that's his job, he looks at that stuff all day and sometimes he feels sorry for some of the things he might have to see. They have a female dr. in the office and at the end of Steven's pregnancy you meet with the other Drs (there's my Dr., his Brother, and the female Dr.). She was nice, but I am glad I am with my Dr.

If your hubby feels uncomfortable about it, I am sure you can ask to have a nurse or something in there for his sake. And they don't always look at you down there, only for the pap, trans u/s, checking of the cervix (at the end), and when you give birth. Most visits are listening to the hb and talking about stuff.

I am glad he's giving it a go. Is the Dr. older? I think it can help if he sees it's just a older man (hopefully not good looking either). Mine is around 50 I think and not ugly but not my type (the girl I worked with who goes to him, thinks he's HOTT).

Lol he's around 50...he's a chunky mexican guy...def not cute and soooo not my type...but SO was more worried about him looking at my bits...i was telling him that he looks at those allllll day and is probly tired of seeing them and would have no special interest in mine...besides since my sister works for him, he'd be extra nice...and my mom and sister both know all the nurses on the L&D floor at that hospital, so I'd feel so much more comfortable

Awe that's very cool your Sis will be there, sounds like it will all work out. Now hopefully SO is fine with it all, specially if it will make you feel more comfortable.
