If you have a child with crohns .....
Before your child was diagnosed, what symptoms did the have? What did/do you do for management of the condition?

Watching! I am hoping my DD doesnt have it...I have crohn's myself and DH's side has colitis As for myself I was diagnosed at 16. My only symptom at first was pain in my belly button not long after eating...and vomitting certain foods. This transitioned into blinding pain and excessive vomitting. I had one surgery and I have a modified diet and medications for management.

Basically I stay away from anything that is hard to digest for a person with out crohn's because for someone with crohns they are impossible and only cause problems. I do not eat any kind of nuts, nothing with seeds(ie berries), no seeds(sesame, poppy, whole grain breads of crackers etc) no corn, no pop corn, no real spicy foods and no real greasy foods.
Do you suspect your LO has crohns? Is there a family history....or reason to suspect?

He has several issues.
He bowel issues seem to most match encopresis but celiac and crohns are also on the list of possibilities

I hope you can peg it down soon. How old is he? Going through all the testing was no fun at 16 I cant imagine anyone going through it at a younger age.
