I dont know why you care what people think. my husband and I are highschool sweethearts, however we were together 5 years before having a baby. People probably think these things because you dont know what its like to have a baby yet, and it will take a toll on your relationship, regardless of how close you are, it just changes things. and you won't know til you get there. Its hard..but if you love eachother and communicate well and have patience..you'll make it. It won't always be sunshine and rainbows, but being a mom is wonderful. A complete and total change of lifestyle. But wonderful =) Congrats on your pregnancy!

My mother was pregnant with me at 19. 33 years later and my mom and dad are still happily married.

Things in this generation and the generation 50-60 years ago are very different in terms of morals. There's more open information and people are more openly in your business than in 1950 lol it's easier to be naive and stupid on either end as my grandmother said. There's no filter anymore. Times have changed greatly

Ya, I don't care anymore. People still ask me if she's my sister or neice and when I tell them no they start with the questions. I usually answer them because I've done very well, and I'm proud of myself so I just take it as an opportunity to brag lmao

BD and I aren't together anymore... funny because we had a good relationship and I thought we'd be together forever; I wanted to marry him. Two years and a baby later he turned abusive and now legally can't see myself or his child. Happily ever after, huh lol. However, SO is DD's father now and we're happy so when people ask I just say he is the father - they don't need to know the "backstory."

I'm not trying to say that without a doubt my boyfriend and I will be together forever, of course I am hopeful and we will always be patient and try to work through things. I am not naive of the fact that sometimes things happen and there isn't enough trying in the world that can fix them; that I have seen first hand, but as far as the story I concocted I don't mean that WILL be our life it is just easier for people to understand a situation if the can withhold it to another one. You are right I should not give a single care about what people think about my life, and generally I do not. My family and myself are what matter and the good of my child, but everyone must admit, negative comments drag a persons moral down after awhile...
