Egg Allergy

My son is allergic to eggs, very weird to me because it's only raw eggs. Anyways, I heard it goes away after 4-5 years old. He can eat anything with eggs in it that has been cooked but if he eats ex: pancake batter (a fingertip) his tongue itches.

We are Dominicans, and our cake's frosting is made with raw eggs, he can't eat that or get it on his skin because he would breakout wherever it touches him. I know it's pretty mild but still a concern to me.

Do you know if anyone had this allergy and it went away? I'm scared my son's wont, he's almost 5.

I developed an allergy to eggs after I did the Atkins diet and all I ate were eggs.

Everytime I eat anything with eggs, my throat closes up a bit, and I get sick.
But I'm a sucker for eggs, so I eat them anyways.

Same with dairy.
I'm lactose intolerant, but I can't stay away from it.

Wow! I love eggs to! I would hate to be allergic to them  

But I'm glad that it doesn't close up my son's throat!

I would suggest ask his doctor.

I never knew the icing was made out of raw eggs.. Gross! Lol. Yu just ruined how I think of Dominican cake!
