Now What do I do?

I thought for sure my daughter wouldn't be the climbing type. I was one of those kids who was afraid to climb up things and got sick when I went on a big slide. I'm guessing Emma got something from her daddy because I heard her screaming and I ran in to find her half over her rail!! The only way she didn't go over is her foot got stuck between the rail posts. She wasn't hurt bad, her little foot is red but other than that she's fine, but now I'm terrified to put her back in her crib! I'm not quite sure what to do at this point...

Do you have the mattress down all the way? My two year old, almost 3 year old was like that, she climbed out several times. Move it down as far as you can get it.

It's a brand new crib and I just assembled it the other day so I'm positive it's at the lowest it can go.

My son climbs on to EVERYTHING the other day we were in the bedroom and I walked into the kitchen which is right down the hall and I came back and he was ontop of the desk! I'm waiting for the day he learns to climb out of his crib.

I wish I could just go ahead and put her in the toddler bed, but I know she's too young. I tossed some pillows next to her crib but the only problem I have is that they're not very thick for a cushy landing...Ah man it's going to be like having a newborn all over again. Every little sound is gonna send me running into her room.

Mattress on the floor. Seriously. I know it sounds ghetto, but it will work for a while until she can learn to climb safely.
My daughter just started climbing too and loves to stand on the heat vents so she can see out the picture window. Scares me to death! I worry she'll slice her toes on it.

Oh man I miss those heat vents! I remember I had one right under my window back home in Maryland and I used to sit on that thing half the night.
Yeah I just remembered our extra mattress and dug it out and tossed it next to her crib. This sucks though that I'll have to rearrange her room again, there's a bookshelf next to her crib and I don't want her to accidentally whack her head on it.
