Post Partum Bleeding... Smelly??

posted 25th Sep
This is the first time I've ever smelled myself... Even on a regular period I never really smelled anything... I'm a week and two days PP.. I'm crampy and my "discharge" has a funky odor.. My "discharge" is a very light tan... Before it was only when I went to the bathroom now I can smell it whenever I move around... Which I find extremely disgusting... I dont remember smelling anything with my first born...

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried about anything?

TMI here but I could smell mine and I hated it. For some reason all I thought of when I smelled it was that it smelled like cauliflower...

No idea if that's normal or not... My midwife said that it was probably because my hormones from pregnancy were still around and my senses were heightened? Nobody ever complained that I smelled so maybe it was just a paranoia thing, I dunno

i had the same problem after I had my first born.
i was only 4 days PP and it had a foul smell. When I was sitting still I could smell it. One day I asked my mom about it and she said she could smell it too.
It went away like a couple of days later.

right now i am having kinda the same problem, I had the LEEP procedure done and I have been having foul smelling discharge. It was just as bad as that time. its going away though, not as bad.

ETA: I went to my OB and it wasn't an infection.

I had a foul smell to my blood and discharge after my csection. It went away. My nurses said it was normal at the hospital. If your worried you can always call and ask.
