Exactly what the title says. He isn't listening, he isn't being observant, he is careless and he makes non stop weird noises. He isn't necessarily being naughty. But he has been refusing to accept punishment. I had to carry my 70+ lb son down the stairs. He has been through a lot. I don't don't if this is a stage, a form of grief (he has been through a lot) or maybe a gluten allergy. He was just labeled gifted a few weeks ago and he doesn't get in trouble at school. Has anyone else had this due to a gluten intolerance all of a sudden. I thought about taking him off since he had terrible gas and it seems better when we limit bread. HELP!!!!!

Well gluten intolerance can cause lots of behavior problems. The bad part is that you have to be soooooooo careful not to cross contaminate and it can take weeks/months to know if it's really helping. It is certainly worth it though if you know he has an intolerance.

Supposedly some kids with gluten sensitivities have behavioral issues. I've had a few friends say even after just one day there Childs behavior improved. Although I've been talking to other moms and I'm wondering if it's just an 8 yr old boy thing. We are going to disneyland next week and I think when we get back we will give gluten free a chance. My youngest has issues with food coloring. His behavior is out of control with it. I would tell any mom to try that. It's super easy once you start.
