Feeling heavy down below!

posted 25th Sep
So I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I've been having this heavy feeling for like 3weeks now. It feels like the baby's going to fall out and is making it awkward to walk. I called the nurse at my Dr. Office and she said it was normal and that he may be head down and ready and not to walk alot but I have a one year old and two jobs so thats impossible. Anyways, it seems to be getting worse like happening more often and lasting longer. Do you guys think this is normal too?

I feel like this being my second baby I should know this stuff but I really never had these problems with my first son because I was on bed rest most of the time and well him being my first I could take it easy. With this one I'm very active and much smaller though. I just wish this gross feeling would go away. I've got a sticky discharge too.

It happens to the best of us   You have nothing to worry about. Especially if you were reassured by the doctor it's normal. Don't worry about it ma..! It will be over and done before you know it!

Thanks   It wouldnt bother me so much if I could ever get in to see a Dr. The nurse is the only person I've talked to about it though. I've got a Dr. appointment today so hopefully he'll reassure me.

I didnt get to go to the Dr. My husband was being an ass but I'm going Tuesday for them to check. The nurse say's its normal though so idk,, she said the Dr. should still check though. But it hurts to walk alot of the time and I'm having really bad period cramps. No one but my husband can feel him kick either because you seriously have to lay your hand across my pelvic area I guess you would call it to feel him he's so low.

First of all, listen to your instincts. If you think something is wrong, go get it checked out. For me personally, that stuff you're describing means I end up in L&D getting treated for PTL. My belly gets hard. I feel like i have to pee when i don't have to pee. My back will hurt sometimes and i'll feel like i'm about to get my period.

In the meantime, I'd drink a bunch of water. When you're laying down, put a pillow under your bum. Sometimes that helps with the pressure. It can shift the position of the baby so he/she isn't making you so uncomfortable.

What is PTL? I was in L&D and they said everything was fine they did 2 u/s and a pelvic exam. My belly isn't getting hard it's just cramping and baby on my pelvic alot.I'm having a boy and they say they carry really low.

Pre-term labor.   If everything looked good that day, it's probably just normal pregnancy stuff. Gender has very little to do with how you carry a baby.

The doctor said pretty much said it was an yeast infection which I think is stupid, and I didnt get to see my regular dr,, I had to see a different one.

I carried my third one super low and felt like he was falling out from about 30 weeks or so on...this one, i'm 24 weeks and it is so painful to walk already. I'm pretty sure by the time he's born, my pelvis will be in pieces.
