It really depends, if she was under the age of 10 then I would push her towards abortion. 13 and up, it would be up to her.

Lol if you're pro-choice, you can't FORCE your daughter to abort. Kind of being a hypocrite for being so pro-choice.

I can see using that as a form of "birth control". Not the whole forcing abortion thing, but threatening to kick you out on the streets if you get pregnant. Worked on me through all my teen years lol.
But I don't get how any mother could say something like that.

If I had gotten pregnant as a teenager, I know for a fact my parents would be there for me. I still didn't have sex until after I had my first job and had a steady income. I didn't get pregnant till I was out of the house living on my own.

Scare tactics are just mean, IMO.

Yeah, people are screwed up. I honestly think some women say this stuff on here to get rise out of us!

I am pro life, but just have to get a point across about other pro lifers. Pro life people preach so much about the baby being a miracle, God's creation, etc. Which I wholeheartedly agree with... BUT... whenever a Christian family's daughter gets pregnant out of wedlock or as a teen...they are overly angry, unsupportive, kick them out of the house, alienate the mother and child, etc.... forcing them to seek outside help like government assistance, or...the girl ends up feeling like in order to be accepted into her family again, she must abort... defeating everything her parents stand for as pro life people. I can say this is pretty true not for EVERY pro life parent, but a large majority.

I also know this because I was in this position to a small degree. I got pregnant at 16, out of wedlock. I had a full time job and was home schooled. When they found out...they were furious...I was called all the names in the book, the father...my husband was called a pedophile(he's only years older than me...same spacing as my parents), and they told everyone in the church and in our family the same night they found out... which was really upsetting...because what if I had miscarried? I was only 6 weeks. It eventually got better, they got excited to have a new grandchild coming, DH was welcomed into our family, etc. And obviously now we're doing great.

But as you can see, there are hypocrites on both sides. A lot of pro choice people go overboard and start to think that every girl who is in a not so ideal situation MUST want an abortion....and pro life people tend to alienate and ridicule their own children when they become pregnant...yet... they want the person to keep the baby.

Just a little thought. Hope it made sense.

I know one boy who had to apologize to his church for getting his GF pregnant. I think it's stupid.

My SIL's mother was crazy Christian and pro-life. She scheduled an abortion for my SIL the moment she found out.  

I find the majority of pro-lifers to be hypocritical (and dumbasses) anyways, so that just adds to their fault, in my opinion.

I said it. A few months back we had this same debate (we have had it every few months since D&D was created!) and a woman said that. Basically, she would disown her ungrateful, disrespectful, bitch of a child if she got pregnant.

He shouldn't have to apologize. Anyone who gets a tattoo should have to apologize to the church to since it clearly states in the Bible that you aren't supposed to tattoo your body. Markings of any sort.
