My thoughts exactly also.

Oh, not that one. It was a debate outside BG on another site I used to go to.

That's exactly how my best friends mom, it's different when it's actually someone you know. lol

I did my time raising babies, and there is a reason why I had gotten a tubal and that isn't so I could raise my grand children.. My daughter would have to get an abortion or just be SOL and find a new home.

The minute you found out you were having a girl you knew she could become a pregnant teenager. You cannot kick her out at 14 or 15, legally.

Should have just aborted her so that you wouldn't have to risk being a young grandma.

I'd feel terrible for the daughter, especially if she wanted her child. If in such a situation, I would probably pack my smurf and run away in the middle of the night if my mother ever told me something like that.

It's terribly sad, and I just don't see how that even sounds like Pro-Choice at all. It doesn't seem to be a lot about the girl's choice if your parents or guardians can have you to go forward with it because it was their choice. o_O
I mean, I don't mean to bash or attack anyone's views if any people here agree with the people I mentioned in my thread. I'd just appreciate it if they, if possible, can help me understand why they think it's okay in general, let alone considered as Pro-Choice. smdh...

It has nothing to do with being a 'young grandma'

You don't just kick your children out because they made a poor choice. Your daughter still has rights.... don't rape her of them.

you also don't NEED to raise the baby.
but being moral support to YOUR daughter, that'd be nice.
help her find a job, and do online school if that's what needs to be done.

forcing someone to go thru something like that, is just traumatizing.

But why make abortion have to be one of her options, especially if she doesn't want to go with that?
I was always told that if I got pregnant, whether I chose to keep the baby or not it would be up to me on what happens and to take responsibility and me alone. Along with being told that my child will not be raised after having raised me.

Well, a situation like that would help me see and slightly understand the parents' view point. However I would still strongly disagree.

And I still have choices and rights too. If she had her own apartment, and was working, and then asked for 50 bucks for some groceries because she had a bad pay cheque, sure I'd help her out.. But I would refuse to raise the kid.

If she is 14 or 15 she is still a kid and you cannot legally kick her out...
