Unfortunately, it's not US you ahve to worry about, it's the poeple reveiwing her resumes and school applications and her peers when she enters the workforce. As for Karla, I think thats a nice choice - it sounds mature, it has some nice nickname options and it's something she can carry as a grown woman without sounding like a 5 year old for the rest of her life.

We didn't poke fun! That's the thing - your so up in arms because we were "picking on you" when we weren't! It had absolutely nothing to do with you, personally - it has to do with the fact that the names you posted, whether you wanted opinions or not, are juvenile and we pointed out the fact that you are, in fact, naming a PERSON, not a baby. A person who will spend the maority of their life as an adult and will have to grow up and attempt a professional career with a name like Skylee or Eevee - all we did was point out how selfish and ill thought-out it was to go with something that WILL NOT age well and I *did* provide suggestions. I gave you a whole list of underused Ev- names that you could use and still get Eevee without dooming your child to a life of eyerolls when she's 50.

Also, this is a public forum. When you post ANYHTING, baby names or not, you WILL get opinions whether that's what was asked for or not. Baby Gaga goes basically un-moderated. People can andwill say basically anything they want - just because you ASK for something specifically does not mean that is what you will get.
