Did Julian recover on his own, or did he have to get stimulated?

I only ever saw a handful of those episodes (as in, i was only there in person for a handful) but they scared the life out of me!

but they always self-recovered from those.
i later did remember that the very first day, when I came in, I saw a doctor doing this weird thing to one of the girls....
only later did i realize she was stimulating the baby out of an episode.....
o man those were scary days. but not worries, they'll fly by

i havent been there for them. i found out yesterday that Julian had 2 more "small" episodes, whatever that means. When the nurse explained it to me, she explained the stimulating but didn't say if she had to do it or not. I don't plan on them being home until they are 36 weeks with how things are going. When I went back, Sebastian was under the lamps again because his jaundice decided to come back and Julian gets a mandatory 10 days after each apnea spell. I really don't think I would be comfortable having them home any earlier.

one of my girls had to also go under the lamps twice
and don't worry, the neos know what they're doing very well, and they won't send the babies home a day before they, and you, are ready.

my NICU required my SO and me to take a CPR class, also, before letting the girls go home.
At first, I was so freaked out by the idea. But after taking the class, I actually felt a lot more confident. Like if something DID happen, I'd know what to do.

wow, i hope they have a CPR class, i would feel a lot better. DH is already certified for CPR.

my hospital is New York State's largest delivery hospital, so they had classes for everything right there
we didn't get *certified* but it was a good 3 hour class

if not your hospital, the American Heart Association in your area might offer them
