That is true as well!

Which is a reason I'm so conflicted about Creflo now. I truly believe he preaches what God wants preached, his sermons are so full of the Bible and the truth. I think. I don't really know what to think anymore.
I almost feel like I shouldn't watch ANY preachers and just continue to read the Bible myself and let it speak to me itself. Seems like the safer thing to do, anyway.

I don't know how I feel about him anymore either. I do feel he has always been very on point with scripture. It's unfortunate that his home life exploded in this manner. I hope that he didn't do it, but if you read the article, he did go through with the court mandated anger management classes and his other daughter stands firm in her testimony.

I hope I didn't make you feel attacked.  

I did listen to part of a sermon of his that made me feel uncomfortable. He took a passage of scripture and immediately started saying that it is only by "seed" - being tithing, that a harvest will come. Does he often go to money like that? I don't know, I've only listened to that one. I'm anxiously waiting the response of our old Pastor.

You could do that. I'm sure there are at least a few tv preachers out there that are reputable. Just do your research. If I can find any to recommend I definitely will do that.

There are a few good ones. If she can find David Jeremiah, Adrian Rogers or Charles Stanley, she will be okay. I do not recommend Creflo Dollar or Joel Osteen. Both preach a "health and wealth" gospel and do not teach salvation properly.




Tonight I'm going to have to go to youtube and listen to the ones he recommends.

I think he does focus on money a bit.

I wouldn't stress too much as long as you are doing your own study with it I fel you will be able to tell what is truth. If you enjoy him and he speaks to you in a way you understand then I don't see the harm. Unless you were so engulfed in his sermon that you weren't able to see reality and believed his every word kind of like how cults get. But as long as you still have a hold of your own Christianity you will spot anything that sounds iffy and look It up and make your own Opinions of it. This is with any pastor even irl. We go into one church and are chastised For not being married and go into another and are accepted with open arms. Every pastor is different. That's why so many people are turned off to Christianity because of and childhood experiences. And I try not to judge someone by their former actions. We're all people. I don't see what puts a pastor as a person above us? Are we not all sinners? Does it say somewhere that being a pastor makes you immune to sin? The book I was reading with SO was by a pastors wife who talked about her journey through his indifelity and a child he conceived out of their marriage during it. She forgave him and stayed with him and so did God I'm certain. Soy opinion after all that verbal vomit I just had haha (i hope it made sense) is watch who speaks to you, and research on your own. Mayb he can bring things to light you wouldn't have thought of on your own and lead you to look more into it. Unless you feel brainwashed by him I would say its harmless.

Ive never felt like he always talks about money. And two churcjes o went to when i was a teenager actually focused a lot on money and they completely turned me off and i stopped going. One church i went to the pastor actually went on for fifteen minutes about how ON TOP of our normal 10% that we should give more extra to help pay for a new sanctuary, as if the huge one they had wasnt big enough.   but i do believe fully in paying tithe so i wouldnt mind it being mentioned once in a while

Lol definantly dont take everything they say say absolute truth. We did turn him off once because we didnt agree, and even as much as i like (or liked) Joel, we have changed the channel a few times on him as well.
