re: Bible Accountability

I thought a little more negative about him until I watched Lord, Save Us From Your Followers. It's a little "liberal" if you want to call it that, but I think the message of Christ's love was loud and clear.

Dd never sits quietly through church   her and this other girl pretty much rule the roost. All the elders are wrapped around their fingers. They play and talk and color and read in the back pews. They run back and forth from us to the nursery or Sunday school. They sing with us (well try haha). They help the ushers with offering. I'll have to post a cute pic I have sometime. And they go
Up to communion with us and get blessed (of course dd throws a hissy cause she wants to take communion haha). But yeah they are FAR from quiet

I wish. He really wont let anyone, let alone strangers, keep our kids for even an hour. We tried to go to our friends church once, and he decided to stay in tje day care room the entire time. And to make it worst, the people supposed to be watching the kids did things that made both of us uncomfortable. So that just instilled in his head that much more that he'll never let others watch our kids. He even has tried to beg me to homeschool when the time comes(im not going tp homeschool.) So i dont think we'll all be going to church for a lonh time. Like probably not until our youngest is at least 4 or 5. Which sucks because id love to be part of a church community again and make some friends.

  I didn't like that, lol. Although I can't deny that he does seriously lack scripture quoting in his sermons. The main thing I do love about this sermons are the testimonies he shares, very inspirational. But I don't like how the sermons are mainly comprised of testimonies. And I don't think he's satanic at all. But now I don't really know what to think of him after watching that, lol. I guess I don't want to believe it.

But do check out Creflo Dollar when you get the chance. The main thing we like about him is he preaches nothing BUT Bible verses. He reads directly out of it the whole sermon and explains what it means for us.

I'll have to check him out then. My favorite "kind" of preaching is expository...which is verse by verse, chapter by chapter. I just feel like without it there's to much fluff!

I knew he was arrested at one point, but was not going to bring it up until I could read it all for myself. I have to go now, but tonight I'm going to dig around! Interesting.

I think key is that we have to know God's word for ourselves. We HAVE to be in the word, and we have to line up what others say with what God says to see if they're truly godly Pastors. There are so many warnings in the Bible about us being deceived by wolves in sheep's clothing, and I think it occurs very often today.

So, I decided to shoot my old Pastor an email and asked him if he knew of any awesome pastors that were on TBN or other stations. I highly value his opinion, so I'll have to report back on what he says.

Oh wow I didn't even know that about Creflo! Now I'm so conflicted! I've always loved his sermons, they've always lined up with what the Bible says as far as we have been able to tell, and he backs up everything he says with scripture, and often gives the surrounding circumstances about the scripture so there's no questioning. To hear this.... I just hope he didn't do it. There's really no way of knowing if he did that or not, and what he says in response to it IS true, and it COULD be true for him, but who can know that? I almost feel bad, because it very well could have been the devil trying to "discredit the messenger", and that sad part is, if he didn't do it, I will still have this doubt.   Idk how to feel about him anymore.

  my pastpr recommended Voddie Baucam to my husband. My husband has developed a passion for apologetics so that's primarily I think what Voddie Baucam is about... I'm going to try to find a youtube video...
