Whelp, it started out alright, then our van needed $1500 in repairs. About a week later we get a letter from the city stating they were going to take the house for non payment of the water/sewage/trash bill.(we live in a duplex owned by my SIL, and she hasn't paid the water bill in ages. DH is on the deed to the house, but not the mortgage that's why received the notice too.) And a week later my 14 year old daughter decided to post sexual stuff on FB(words not pics). She got her FB taken away as well as her phone and cable box. She's been horribly mean to my DH(her step dad).
BUT, God met us in all three areas. 1st, my our church loaned us money towards fixing the van and my Dad put the parts in.(it still needs work, but not dire, and we can wait till we get out taxes back). 2nd, my FIL is now paying the backed up water bill....so we don't loose the house. And 3rdly, we sat down with our Pastor and had a lengthy chat with our daughter about stuff. Good things have come out of it....I think we're on the road to healing with her.
So God met us in each area. I guess it wasn't that bad, but the going through it sure stunk!

That's great that god met you in all the areas. It is hard when it first happens. You kind of go into that state of shock like "crap what do wedo now?". I'm glad you were able to focus on your family through all that and work it out

I should know by now not to worry. God has met us in every situation where it seems bleak. I need to get to the point where I praise him in the storm.

Don't we all. I've been "there" a few times, and it is amazing. I'm not like that often enough though.

It seems silly to be all "Praise you Jesus" when your house is falling down around you. BUT, it's true because he always makes a way. He is so good like that.

I'm sure he understands the initial shock reaction of it and won't hold that against you

Not silly at all, not if you know Jesus! Job is the perfect example.

Oh yes Job...now there was a man of great faith. Lost everything and still praised God. And God restored his life.
