Those are adorable! We do AWANA, so I think my daughter would be overwhelmed if I added more memorization to her routine, but those are super cute.

Could you guys pray for my friend family. Idk if I've talked about it in here but my friend passed away last night finally after a 2 yr battle with ovarian cancer at age 22. She's been on hospice since the summer so it's been known this was coming fr awhile. I know this may sound weird but I don't Hve dreams very much and when I do they sometimes tend to be like a semi premonition. Well I had a dream sat night that I went to go see her and expected her to be sick like the last time I saw her (which was at her grandmas funeral dinner, she was in a wheel chair and couldn't even sit up straight and her aunt was spoon feeding her, and I'm fairly sure she didn't recognize me). Well instead she was perfect. She was her old self. Lively, exciting, loud, had her infectious laugh back, and didnt look sick at all. She was exactly how I want to remember her. I knew when I woke up this was a sign she was going soon and made me feel at peace that she would be herself again in heaven and not in pain anymore. Lylian drew her a picture last night an wants to put it in a balloon to send to god. She first said she was gonna draw her as an angel with wings and a halo, but she drew her standing on a rock instead, I'm not really sure what that was about.

After being lost for many many years, I am on the way to loving Jesus the way that I'm sure I was meant to. I'm not perfect, I don't even own a bible, but I literally cry when I'm in my car and listen to Christian music. Since I've been listening, I feel different, and new, and so much happier than I've been. I just want to continue on this amazing journey and continue to grow with my new found life. I don't know what I'm expecting to gain here, but it can't be anything but better than my old life was before. Thanks for having me.

Welcome.   congrats on deciding to build that relationship   I'm the same way. I'm not perfect. None of us are. We are all sinners and god knows this. We just realize when we mess up and ask for forgiveness.

If you do want to start reading, I recommend the book of John to start with! Great book that shows the heart of Jesus.

Do u have a phone with apps? So has a great bible app that reads to you. We listen when we go to bed

I understand. I was really intimidated at first. Glad you're here though!

I've been slacking on the bible, I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm waiting on my FIL to get me a new kjv of the bible because it'll be so much easier to understand. Also, please pray for me that I get approved for an appeal so that I can go to school this semester.

So I've actually kept up on my reading plan this time. (Reading the Bible in a year). I'm on day 3 today. I know, I'm not far in...but Last night I actually read a little bit into today's scriptures. I just couldn't stop reading!
I've felt so distant from God, then after this thread was started I've felt so much closer. I don't go to church, because I can't find any true churches around here. All of them are hypocrites and I just don't feel comfortable there....neither does DH. So I have my own little church service with myself and sometimes the kids. They won't typically sit still long enough.

I just want to thank you all for being here. For starting this thread and keeping it alive. For being there when anyone needs prayer or has questions. You all should know you're amazing. <3

OH! I have a PRAISE REPORT!
The job at Toyota that DH has been trying to get on....He's been going through the hiring process for a couple of months now. He called yesterday and they said he's in the TOP 90 people and that he'll be starting work there sometime in February!!! Praise God! This is so big for us.

Prayer Request..... My Aunts dad (she's not my Aunt anymore, technically. She was married to my uncle) he has brain cancer. He's been fighting it for a while now. And he's actually done very good. They started him on a new treatment. It some kind of cap that he has to keep on that sends some kind of energy to the tumors and is supposed to shrink them. Well, last night they said he wasn't doing very well at all. He was confused, couldn't walk and was just very fatigued. So they're afraid he doesn't have much time. If you all could just pray for him and his family, that would be great. Thank you!
